Veronica Beatrice Walton

is a poet and educator from New Jersey. Her work has appeared in numerous journals both online and in print. Her debut chapbook, Hiraeth: 17 Love Poems, was published in March 2023 by Ethel Micro-Press. Additionally, Veronica is the author of the children's book Phoebe the Mighty Mermaid, which has been published through the Bank Street College Library. She received her B.A. in English from Bryn Mawr College and her M.S.Ed in Childhood General and Literacy Education from Bank Street College in May 2023. She is interested in cats, music, tattoos, and in eventually getting a PhD. Currently, Veronica works as a reading specialist at a school in Harlem, is a vocalist and bassist in an indie rock cover band, and sings soprano in a treble choir. She hopes to finish her second poetry chapbook, The Moon Followed Us, sometime in 2025.
